Boys Basketball

The Lions finished the season with a 5-16 record overall and a 4-8 record in the Kaw Valley League. The 16 seed Lions fell to the 1 seed Pittsburg Purple Dragons in the first game of sub state 70-57 at Pittsburg High School to wrap up the season.

Girls Basketball

The Lady Lions finished the season with 16-6 record and a 10-2 record in the last season of the Kaw Valley League. The 3rd seeded Lions lost to the St. James Lady Thunder in the sub-state championship 55-51 after beating the Washington Lady Wildcats 78-17.

Taylor Lang, Gerenda Smith, and Megan Ernzen all received All-KVL Honors.

Boys Swimming

The boys finished 23rd overall at the state swim meet to finish out their strong season. Lansing finished first at two meets this year as well as 2nd at four meets this year including league and regionals.


The Lion wrestlers earned a 12th place finish a the State Tournament at Hartman Arena to wrap up the season. Freshman Camden Maestas finished 4th along with junior Joseph Irwin. Junior Braiden McKee finished 6th in the 285 weight class. As a team the Lion finished with a 2-3 record in duals on the year and won the De Soto Duals Tournament.

State qualifiers for the Lions were Camden Maestas, Tucker Bieber, Lane Gates, Tyler Williams, Joseph Irwin, Claye Howard, Malachi Tinnel, Dylan Ward, Tyler Green, Braiden McKee.

Boys Powerlifting

The boys Powerlifting team finished 10th at the Kansas 5A State Championship at Bonner Springs High School.

The state placers for the Lions included: Tre’Matt Pledger – 4th 165 lbs, 6th Bench, 4th Squat; Tyler Kobulnicky – 3rd 173 lbs, 4th Bench, 6th Squat, 3rd Clean; Eliott Wilk – 181 lbs, 6th Squat, 3rd Clean; Joe Dill – 198 lbs, 5th Clean

Girls Powerlifting

The girls Powerlifting team won the Kansas 5A Championship at Bonner Springs to finish out the season.

Boys Bowling

The Lions finished the season as regional runner up and placed 11th at the state meet. Junior Cody VanderStaay placed 11th for the Lions.

Girls Bowling

The Lady Lions finished the season as regional champions and placed 7th at the state meet. Kyah Surritte placed 11th for the Lady Lions and senior Lacey Angello placed 14th.
